Fantasizer
Fantasizer is a novel, multisensory, and interactive music club experience. The audience is enveloped in a tangible structure featuring spatial audio, 360° surround visuals, dynamic lighting, and interactive elements. Not only do the visuals respond to the presence and movement of the audience, but an interactive fabric sculpture in the center of the room also alters the visual effects when touched, adding another dimension to the experience.
Fantasizer challenges the typical directional setups of traditional clubs, where the DJ booth and screens are fixed in place, by placing the audience at the center of the experience. The circular design encourages free movement and dynamic interaction—both with one another and with the room itself.
By crafting a multisensory environment where auditory, visual and tactile stimuli intertwine, the project seeks to facilitate a state of primary consciousness marked by heightened emotional responses, a sense of timelessness and a deep connection with the music and surroundings.
Fantasizer had its first show from 3rd to 5th of April 2024 at the immersive audio lab of the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences.
